June is Men's Health Month: Focusing on Development for Adolescent Boys
It's time again for Men's Health Month, an entire month out of the year dedicated to raising awareness about boy's and men's health and wellness. Encouraging a healthy lifestyle for all the men in our lives is always essential. However, June allows for a particular focus on the subject and offers extra support, especially to those in need of dual diagnosis treatment. Unfortunately, issues with men's mental health are a stigmatized subject in our society. Because of this, experts believe that many men are currently suffering from things like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorder yet are not seeking mental health treatment. This issue extends to boy's mental health, as well. Since so many mental health disorders start during adolescence, it is critical to shine a light on this societal blind spot to prevent substance abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, and suicide. At Stonewater Adolescent Recovery Center, our team strives to bring awareness to this critical issue of men's health. We have developed programs to ensure that all of our residents receive the treatment they need to live a full life. Learn more by calling Stonewater Adolescent Recovery Center today at
